About the Business
Maple & Co is a professional 1:1 dog grooming service based on the Shropshire/Powys border. Rachael, the owner, is a keen dog enthusiast and started Maple & Co in December 2021 after qualifying as a dog groomer.
About the project
Rachael had already set up a Facebook page but was finding it hard to find the time to promote her new business whilst still working another job. Rachael also wanted a website and help with social media management to help attract new customers.
Website Design & Management
Rachael wanted a basic one page, low-cost website that she could direct new customers to. Therefore we opted for an Adobe Spark site which works really well on mobile devices. Using branded content that we created based on Rachael’s previously designed logo, we were able to promote her key services, USP and location. We also integrated terms of service which her new customers needed to sign. We continue to manage Rachael’s website and update it with photos as Rachael attracts more customers.
Social Media Marketing
After meeting with Rachael, we decided that we would create an Instagram page to go alongside her already set up Facebook page. We created branded content to share consistently across both platforms and helped Rachael to engage with customers. Instagram quickly became a way of customers seeing Rachael’s work before using the messaging service to make bookings with Rachael. Rachael manages the messenger side of platforms whilst we create the content. We have posted posts to each feed, stories and engaging reels.
Overview
It has been pleasing to see the success of Rachael’s social media pages, leading to more customers in only a short space of time. Her social media page continues to gather followers who engage regularly with the content we have created. The balance we have struck between us taking care of the social media graphics and website whilst Rachael responds to customers with her expertise works well.
